Composed in 1874, Camille's Saint-Saen's waltz/tone poem "Danse Macabre" conjures images of skeletons rising from their graves to dance in moonlight! This spooky piece is ideal for the intermediate violinist, but it would also be ideal for other instruments in C too such as the flute and oboe!
