Wedding March was written by Felix
Mendelssohn Bartholdy in 1842. Appearing in "A Midsummer Nights
Dream", it is one of the most frequently used wedding marches nowadays. We
usually hear the piece on a church pipe organ.
The flexible instrumentation enables a mixture of instruments, from small
ensemble to orchestra, to share the joy of wedding celebration. Essential
fingerings and bowings are provided in the string parts. For instruments of
Part 2 and 3, the range is within one octave.
