Persian Love Song for Nazanine Maryam as a Clarinet Quartet with optional String Bass. The slow introduction is a based on a Persian Chant or ancient folk song. The 2nd part of the song is based on a traditional Persian dance in 3/4 time. Both of these melodies are older than 300 years and have been in public domain for some time. In modern times the Persian composer Mohammad Noori made an arrangement of these folk songs using a sythesizer and put words to the melody. This arrangement for clarinet quartet does not follow that arrangement. It has been recomposed.
