A new arrangement for alto or sopranino recorder with piano accompaniment. The original, entitled Variations sur l'Air Gestern Abend war Vetter Michel da (c. 1815), is for csakan in G and guitar (sounding in C). This arrangement retains the original key and fingering (csakan fingering is virtually identical to that of the recorder), and offers an accompaniment that retains the lightness and transparency of the original guitar chording.
