Early Intermediate level arrangement of 1974 Bob Dylan song (performed on Saturday Night live by Coldplay's Chris Martin) transposed to G. Syncopation has been simplified; once notes are learned, encourage player to use their ear to "fix" rhythms to match the artist's recording. Off-beat melody entrances are preceeded by LH playing on the beat so player can feel rhythmic pulse. There is an optional end point after the interlude. RH plays mostly G or C position. In m.10, the RH thumb extends down a 3rd to reach B. All other movement happens directly during a rest. LH plays in C position for the first verse. After the interlude, the bass line uses a descending G major scale pattern. There are two points where the LH plays 5 on lower tonic, reaches 2 up to dominant, and then 1 on upper tonic.
