This tune is a great favorite among evangelical churches, and one I've known since childhood. I love these old tunes because their simplicity yields abundant potential for limitless variation. My arrangement for flute and piano is classically oriented, by turns meditative and majestic, even march-like. I never tire of finding new and creative harmonies to fit the melody.
