Each nursery rhyme in this book is arranged to teach the same musical form. The first sixteen measures are color coded in C major. This is called the exposition section. The musical theme is "exposed" for the listener. The next 8 measures are called development. The music moves into a new key (G major). In every piece the base line in the development section is always the same. The final 8 measures are a recapitulation of the musical theme in the original key of C major.
