Riding The Eights is an intermediate two mallet study for mallet percussion (xylophone, marimba, vibraphone or orchestra bells). The piece is designed as a supplemental short solo that allows students to work on their mallet percussion skills in addition to their regular lesson books. Moving double stop octaves are featured throughout the piece and 16th note triplets are explored. This piece is also included in the collection "Seven Studies for Solo Mallet Percussion Volume 2".
