The Newcastle Mass, is based on plainsong melodies for the Sanctus and Agnus Dei, and original melodies inspired by plainsong for the Kyrie and Gloria. The Kyrie and Agnus Dei are for unison voices, while the other movements are for SAB, all with a rich organ (or piano) accompaniment. It was composed to be performed as part of a workshop about Renaissance choral music.
