The Avalon Suite is a musical depiction of the Avalon Peninsula of the beautiful island of Newfoundland. Graded late intermediate. The first movement, Isthmus, is exciting, rhythmic and dissonant. Movement two, Avalon, is as gentle and flowing as a sea breeze. The third movement, Peninsula, is in 6/4 and depicts the magic of the place. Great piece for recital performance and festivals.
