AMERICANA for flute/alto flute, violin, viola, and cello was commissioned by Chamber Music Palisades and premiered by them in 2008. An upbeat, charming, sometimes jazzy, sometimes Appalachian sounding work, it was composed during a residency I had at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming.
