This fun contemporary work was first written in 1994 and later performed as the opening number at the Western Convention of the North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) festival in Las Vegas, Nevada in October 1999. The work is divided into 4 main sections. The opening theme, a fast paced Latin sounding section, a slower moderato melody and a return of the first theme. The opening theme and Latin section are more easily played at 1 beat to the bar. The slower melody is in contrast to the other sections and should be played very lyrically. This work has been well received by both audiences as well as other brass quintet groups that have performed it. IT works well as an upbeat contemporary number for almost any brass event.
