The publication is based on the manuscripts from musical archive of Lev PULVER (1883 1970). It has been realized and edited by Sergei LEONOV. "Duet of Dina and Bar Kokhba" is one of the three surviving fragments of music to the Moscow State Yiddish Theater (GOSET) production Bar Kokhba (1938). It is a duet of two main characters of the play, Dinah (Pnina) and Bar Kokhba. An authorship of piano arrangement belongs to the composer. The text in Yiddish was written by Samuil (Shmuel) Halkin. The ranges of the solo voices are G4Bb5 and E3Bb4. The "Duet" is definitely one of the masterpieces of Yiddish musical culture of the 20th century.
Introductory text to the publication, written by Sergei Leonov, includes a short biography of the composer and a detailed description of the "Duet".
