This is the first publication of the Jewish Dance for cello solo and symphony orchestra by Lev PULVER (1883 1970), based on the autograph manuscript of the orchestral score, realized and edited by Sergei Pichugin. The piece was composed in 194243 in the midst of World War II. Presumably it was never performed since 1950, being completely forgotten. Jewish Dance is definitely among the masterpieces of Yiddish musical culture of the 20th century.
Introductory text to the publication, written by Sergei Pichugin, includes a short biography of the composer and a description of the Jewish Dance.
