The art song (romance) "In the silence of mysterious night" («В молчаньи ночи тайной») (Op. 4, No. 3) was composed by Sergei RACHMANINOFF (1873 1943) in 1889. In present edition of the masterpiece of the sixteen-year-old genius the lyrics by outstanding Russian poet Afanasy Fet with transliteration and English translation are inserted into the score.

The romance is available in the original key of D major (B3 F#5) for low voice.
