I made this piano solo arrangement of the very beautiful and lilting Largo from J.S.Bach's 4th violin and keyboard sonata (BWV 1017) because it is reminiscent of the famous aria 'Ebarme dich' from Bach's St.Matthew passion. It pairs well with the another piano solo arrangement I have made of the 'Siciliano' from the flute sonata. The standard is early intermediate and falls in the range of pianists who can already play some of the less challenging preludes from Bach's '48'. The duration is about 5 minutes with repeats.
