Etude 2.0 uses the major third as its component interval. Major 7th and augmented arpeggios predominate. Some are slow and graceful, others fast and turbulent, changing octaves with each iteration. Still others are pointillistically distributed between the hands. Octaves with major thirds attached to the outer ranges take mirrored, topographically identical structures, and explore the lowest and highest registers at the conclusion. Approx. running time is 3 mins 30 secs. More etudes to follow, til the set of 25 is complete. Once the single interval pieces have been posted, the combination pieces begin. All the possible groups of two have been utilized. Then the groups of three, and finally, the final etude uses all the intervallic elements in turn in one piece. MBB
