Here is the second etude of the set of 25. It uses the interval of the second, or whole-step, hence the designation 1.0. Mirroring and contrary motion abound here, as secondal structures, in chords, clusters, and single-note lies are all shaped and fingered the same for both hands. Smartly percussive in its sound. Only one short whole-tone-sounding segment. It is surprising how many types of symmetrical, pianistic gestures can be combined using this topographical i.e. black/white keys approach, and strictly limited intervallic material. Approx. running time is 2 mins 25 secs. Look for the rest of the set, and the complete set in one volume coming soon. MBB
