"La Coza" is the very first composition of the San Francisco, award winning composer Daniel Leo Simpson. The 18 year old composer wrote this piece for himself to be played in his Theory & Composition class at the University of Arizona and was performed by him there on the viola with a classmate playing the piano part. This version for Bb Clarinet & Piano is a great Beginner/Early Intermediate piece which beautifully explores the Chalumeau register. A wonderful performance piece suitable for weddings, church, recitals or simply as an educational instructional piece. The modest piano part is also "player friendly" making this piece a favorite with teachers and students alike.
