Grieg - In the hall of the mountain king Easy piano version, 2 pages."In the Hall of the Mountain King" is an orchestral piece by the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg and it's part of the music written for Peer Gynt, a play in verse by dramatist Henrik Ibsen. The theme begins slowly and quietly in the lowest registers of the orchestra, then the pitch gradually raises and the tempo speeds up. At the end the music becomes increasingly loud and frenetic. In the play the piece acts as a backgroung for the threatening shouts by trolls against Peer Gynt, the main character.
