Mahler's Adagietto from Symphony No. 5 is arguably his most famous work. This beautiful arrangement for cello quintet or cello ensemble gives justice to the emotional piece. The cello is able to capture both the spirit of the string section and the harp arpeggios played in pizzicato by all parts. Although the difficulty of each cello part is in descending order from 'cello 1' to 'cello 5', all the parts are equally exciting, and will play melody, harmonies, and the harp arpeggios. Cello 1 The arrangement has been written for both 5 solo cellists, as well as a cello ensemble with more than one player on each part. The piece has not been bowed, and players are free to be write bowings after downloading.
