Product Description

During rehearsals for his 1926 musical Oh, Kay!, George Gershwin found a rag doll in a Philadelphia toy store that became the charming prop for his song "Someone to Watch Over Me". The ballad, staged with Gertrude Lawrence alone on stage, clutching the doll and singing to it, was the hit song of the show and quickly became a Gershwin standard. This lushly harmonized arrangement includes the full score and all five parts.
