The Brazilian bossa nova jazz song"Garota de Ipanema" ("The Girl from Ipanema") was written in 1962 with music by Antônio Carlos Jobim and Portuguese lyrics by Vinicius de Moraes. A 1964 recording by Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz with English lyrics by Norman Gimbel became an international hit, and since then this seductively rhythmic song has been recorded and remixed by many artists. This sensually scored, jazz-inflected arrangement for string orchestra will surely make your audiences want to get up and dance! The file includes the full score and all five parts.
