Obs.: This Prelude in G Major is the first of two movements in Handel's Suite No. 9 in G Major, HWV 442, published in London in 1733. The Prélude itself was composed ca 1717-1718, in the key of F Major (please refer to Allegro in F Major, HWV 488). It was later transposed to G Major and paired (in 1733) with the Chaconne and 62 variations, G 228, to form Handel's Prélude and Chaconne, HWV 442.
