Fire and Ice is a unique chamber work for high school or college aged performers with an original Superhero theme.
Jason Beghtol has written a two movement work including story line and graphics that tells the adventure of this incredible man with a bionic body. The work in two movements is about 8 minutes in length.
The percussion part is intended to be performed by one musician and is for untuned instruments: Tom toms, Bass Drum, Claves, Shekere, Suspended Cymbal, Temple Blocks, Tambourine, Congas, Hammer & Anvil and Snare Drum.
The combination of the instrumentation and the tonality gives this work an enticing and earthy sound for the senses.
