I am very pleased as well as flattered to present this second volume of Domenico Scarlattis Sonatas in the version for solo harp that has been selected, revised and meticulously transcribed by Fabrizio Aiello. The varied and inimitable universe of Scarlatti's genius harpsichord music is, without a doubt, also well represented in these six new sonatas. In this volume, Aiello makes an appropriate selection in order to obtain various levels of technical difficulty and leave a greater freedom of fingerings to future interpreters, giving them the opportunity to make wise personal choices.
Positive of a favorable reception of this work by the public and critics, I extend my praise to the author for this commendable initiative, which contributes significantly to enhancing the beauty and tradition of an admirable instrument such as the Harp.
