Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875 1912) was an English composer whose music was very popular during the Edwardian period and also in the USA. His incidental music to Othello was published in 1911. The Children's intermezzo is an attractive 3-4 minute piece in ternary form with a lyrical melody ideally suited to the Flute and a faster, contrasted middle section. Suitable for recitals and general repertoire.
