Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875 1912) was an English composer whose music was very popular during the Edwardian period and also in the USA. His incidental music to Othello was published in 1911. This includes the 'Children's intermezzo' which is an attractive 3-4 minute piece in ternary form with a lyrical melody ideally suited to the Violin and a faster, contrasted middle section. Suitable for recitals and general repertoire.
