Minimal Mist is a short repetitive work that can be played as is or expanded into a longer arrangement. This could include using various tempos, articulations, manners of playing (inside piano for example) and even inserting passages of improvisation. This work has even been adapted for an ensemble consisting of hurdy-gurdy, saxophone, violin and turntable. If you want to do an arrangement of this work I would suggest beginning by looking at my composition as if it is your own sketch. Then anything is possible. Originally written to be a short introduction to repetitive music, Minimal Mist has now found a place as a work that can be modified, twisted and turned to become whatever anyone wants. However, it is important to be able to play it in its original version as well. I wrote this version as well as the one for four cellos for Lucienne Schneider. The minimum duration is 1 minute.
