The English Suite is a late work of the English composer Hubert Parry (1848 - 1918). He is best known for his choral works - Jerusalem, "I was glad" and Blest pair of sirens. His pupils included Holst and Vaughan Williams. This piece is very English in style with some strong bouncy tunes. THe original is for string orchestra.
