The Concerto for Two Violins BWV 1043 is one of Bach's most famous works. The Concerto was probably written between 1717 and 1723 while he was the Kapellmeister at Anhalt-Köthen.
The two solo parts are musically intertwined in an almost hypnotic blend of scales and arpeggios and are a joy to perform.
The Largo beautifully transcribed by Ralph Sauer is about 7 1/2 minutes in length and is appropriate for advanced performers.
