Frolic is an original composition for Flute Choir- 4 C flutes, Alto and Bass flute. It is in ternary form-a moderate 6/8 time throughout (except one 3/8 bar) with most of the work as staccato quavers to keep the feeling of lightness and fun!The two sections are in G and B flat major respectively before returning to G major for the final section and coda.It has been put at intermediate level with flutes 1 and 2 having more detailed work (The highest note is top G on flute 1 which only appears a few times)- flute 3 maintains intertest with shared melodic lines and flute 4 can be played by a less experienced player. The Alto and Bass parts I have tried to keep interesting with plenty of movement, but supplying support to the ensemble. The whole score in on the youtube link for you to judge. It is roughly 3 mins 30 in length. Price is for the full score and all the parts.
