For solo piano. In the symphonic poem The Moldau, Smetana evokes the course of the Vltava River (Moldau in German), from the Bohemian forest through the Czech countryside. A peasant wedding is passed along the way. The music gradually dies away as the river passes the wedding dance and continues its course. (Known by various titles, including Country Wedding, Village Wedding, Peasant Dance, etc.)
