A chorale prelude (3 minutes in length) on the popular hymn tune "Crimond" (melody written in 1817 by J.S. Irvine). A flowing 6/4 underpins the piece, with the Crimond melody in 3/2 time juxtaposed above. The accompaniment has for the most part a distinctively minor feel to it, although the well known melody is usually in the major. One of a series of new organ pieces in different styles to suite all occasions.
