This composition won first prize in the New England String Ensemble Composition Contest. There are five movements based upon New England history. The first movement is "1560 - Amerindian Harvest Dance" and is a reworking of the composers "Celebration Dance". The second movement "1620-The Pilgrims" uses "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow" for a set of variations. The third movement "1770 - Birth of a Nation" uses adaptations of "Chester" and "Yankee Doodle". The fourth movement, "1850s - Irish and Scottish Immigration" uses reels and jigs. The last movement "1990s - Convergence" uses pieces of the earlier movements with Brazilian, Asian, and West Indies folk songs.
