The young Mozart, while still at Salzburg composed about (30) short one movement Sonata da chiesa. They were scored for Organ, strings (minus viola) and Three trombones! They played long harmony notes. I have created a viola part and slightly rearranged the pieces to make them very playable for string quartet. These pieces work great for background music at a party or reception. They are also wonderful for wedding ceremony or wedding prelude music. Can be used in church service as well. Could add a bass to double the cello for string Orchestra. These are what I would consider light classical music. Very enjoyable to play. If you find the original organ part this arrangement works with it as well.
