March of the Tin Soldiers was originally composed by Leon Jessel in 1897. It was originally composed for solo piano but has been made available for many ensembles. During the 1960s a recording of it by The Ronettes featured on Phil Spector's Christmas Album. This arrangement is ideal for oboe or violin and makes a great festive alternative piece.
