"Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho" is an excellent piece for working with a fresh new ensemble! It is a two part piece with piano accompaniment and optional trumpet lines. The trumpet part is written at a beginner level, and the two vocal parts are in unison much of the time, breaking into two parts at logical places.
