Korobeiniki is a classic Russian Folk Song, commonly translated to 'The Peddlers', the lyrics from the poem of the same name by Nikolay Nekrasov create a metaphor for courtship over the story of a Peddler and a girl meeting and haggling for the price of goods. The Song became widely known outside of Russia after an arrangement appeared by Hirokazu Tanaka for the 1989 Game-Boy version of the game 'Tetris'. The piece is now arranged for a Melodica Trio.
