Abide With Me is a beautiful hymn arranged here for Solo Cor Anglais and Piano.
It was written by Henry Francis Lyte in 1820 after visiting a seriously ill friend. Lyte suffered ill health for much of his own life as a curate in Ireland and Devon. The hymn has since become closely associated with Remembrance of the Fallen in the Great War and other conflicts.
