The Sound of Silence was the first of many hits for Simon and Garfunkel. It was first recorded in 1963 but the release was a commercial failure and the two musicians went their separate ways. However, after some local radio airplay the producer decided to remix the original with electric instruments. The song became a worldwide hit and Simon and Garfunkel hastily reformed as a duo. This version is arranged as a duet for two Violins.
