Summer Nights is a number from the 1978 musical, Grease. It was most famously performed by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta in the movie version of the musical. This version is arranged as a duet for two Alto Saxophones.
Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performances. The overall performance time is three and a half minutes.
Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills and dynamics. The rhythms are reasonably straightforward and there are tempo changes to challenge students. The short audio sample is from the Clarinet and Alto Saxophone version while the full-length youtube performance is the Clarinet Duet.
