Well-known English folk song, first published in 1889 about a group of friends who borrow an old horse to go to Widecombe fair. Research suggests that the characters in the song were real people and the events in the song took place in 1802. The song is also known by its old spelling: "Widdicombe Fair" or as "Tom Pearce." This is an entertaining arrangement, with plenty of drama and fun, for three part women's choir and piano. Also available is a much easier version for SA choir and piano, and an a cappella SSAA version.
