Gustav Holst's Two Songs Without Words (Opus 22 - 1906) was dedicated to his friend Ralph Vaughn Williams when both composers were exploring the deep beauty of English Folk Songs. It includes Country Song and Marching Song. The setting for clarinet quartet was arranged by John Gibson. Both parts and score are included (3 Bb Soprano Clarinets and 1 Bass Clarinet). If you like Holst's Suites for Band you will love to play these pieces with your quartet!
