This Marching Band arrangement is based on the Ode To Joy melody by the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven from his 9th Symphony, 4th movement. I created this arrangement while was sitting at my father's bedside in the hospital as he was battling cancer. I tried to create a piece that demonstrates optimism in the face of great adversity. This arrangement is intended as a powerful closer but could also be used as an opener for a Beethoven themed show or a classical themed show. This arrangement uses contemporary composition techniques but spotlights the Ode to Joy melody halfway through the arrangement in its original form. The battery and front percussion parts are challenging and the low brass and mid range feature prominently in this arrangement. The woodwinds have challenging parts throughout. It contains optional parts for Bb and Eb horn, Bass Clarinet, Bari Sax, and Electric Bass.
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
