The famous Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel, arranged here for string trio. If you've every played this piece for a wedding, you know that the bride sometimes arrives at the altar before the cello has even finished playing its first eight notes. This arrangement is wedding-friendly! The opening measures have the traditional eight notes filled in with arpeggiated chords, and a complementary line in the first violin part. Your cellist will also have a lot more fun than usual, since the cello part is much, much more than just eight notes (repeated forever). As with all of our trio arrangements, the middle part is included in both treble and alto clef, giving you the flexibility of playing it with either two violins and cello, or violin, viola and cello. From your friends at Zene Strings - enjoy! To see our other great arrangements visit: ZeneSheetMusic.com Questions or comments? Email us at Music@ZeneSheetMusic.com. We're here to help!
