"Brother Sun, Sister Moon" is from the movie of the same name, and is an examination of the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. Donovan used the song in his 2004 album, and it is the basis for this arrangement for string quartet. The cello begins with the melody, handing it off to the first, then second violin part. For the final verse, the viola adds a melodic 8th note harmonic pattern to add richness to the sound.A simple, but beautiful piece -- great for worship or weddings!Enjoy!
