An a capella arrangement for two soloists and SATB choir. Note from the arranger: When I perform this with my own choirs, I usually add a djembe drum on the entire song (not notated in the score) and add a several-bar-long djembe solo just before the repeat in bar 60. The arrangement works equally well with or without djembe, but adding the drum is nice to get an African feel to the song.I have marked the arrangement as "Intermediate" even though its repetitiveness makes it quite easy to learn - I find that it takes a while of rehearsing to get the choir to tune into that all-important chord at the end of most of the "doo doo doo " phrases where the altos have to split and sing a major 2nd interval.Link to full recording of this arrangement: http://www.bragi.co.za/images/audio/arrangements/09_Africa.mp3If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email the arranger: bragithorvalsson@gmail.com
