Arcadia was a summer project for me and had a lot of thought put into it as I composed it. It took me several months before I decided it made my standards and before I officially wrote it down. Arcadia sort of reminds me of the various national parks I have visited. It also reminds me of my state, Maine. Arcadia has an orderly and simple chord progression throughout and the melody was designed to be both pretty and satisfactory for the intermediate pianist to play. In other words, Arcadia is simple enough to be playable but complex enough to be slightly challenging. I hope you enjoy it!
