This is the last of a set of three trios, originally for three flutes, arranged for flute, oboe and clarinet in A. Quantz was clearly keen to provide variety as each trio provides a different set of contrasting movements, five in each.The movements of the third Trio are Aria, Rigaudon, Menuett, Sarabande & Plaisanterie. Again the three parts are evenly balanced.
